What the site collects
The site uses no advertising cookies and no advertising tracking, and has no forms that submit data. Visit counting is described below under Analytics. Fonts are served from the site's own host, not a third party. Your theme choice (light or dark) is stored only in your own browser.
The calendar file is made in your browser from the calculator result. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, and the calculator and calendar values are not stored.
Analytics
We count visits with Google Analytics 4. It loads only if you accept it in the choice at the bottom of the page. If you reject or make no choice, the page sends nothing to analytics.
When analytics is on, the service receives the page address, the previous page (where you came from), campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), browser and operating system type, device type and the country derived from the IP address. Six actions are also counted: opening a page, at least one minute on a page, using a calculator, pressing the newsletter sign-up button, pressing a Telegram link and leaving for another site (the name of that site only). We send no name, no email address and none of the numbers you enter in a calculator.
Google Analytics enhanced measurement may also count by itself scrolling to the end of a page, leaving for another site, a file download, the site search term from the address bar and starting to use a form (without the values typed into it).
Google does not store the IP addresses of visitors from the EU: the address is used only to derive a coarse location and is dropped before the data is stored.
If you accept, Google Analytics stores two cookies in your browser: _ga tells visitors apart and _ga_9VYVTL4Q9E keeps track of the visit (session). Both expire after 2 years. No cookie is set before you accept, and if you withdraw consent the page deletes them. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in the site's settings.
Google may also process the data in the United States. Transfers from the EU to the US rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC has certified.
The controller for analytics is the publisher named above, and Google processes the data on our behalf. Visit-level data is deleted from Google Analytics after 14 months; aggregate statistics (such as page views) are kept. The legal basis is your consent (Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services, section 205, and GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).
Your choice is stored only in your own browser (localStorage, key mr-analytics-consent) so the question is not shown on every page. You can withdraw consent or change your choice at any time: .
Videos
Videos first show only an image served from the site's own host. Only when you press the play button is the video loaded from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube (Google) then processes your data under its own terms.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare Pages, operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data when you request a page, such as your IP address, so that the page can be delivered to your browser. We do not use this data to identify visitors.
Changes
If we start a newsletter or any other service that processes personal data, we will update this page before it starts.
Your rights and contact
You have the right to know what data about you is processed and to ask for it to be corrected or erased. You can also complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
